ISTOCARTA at ICOM MILAN 2016
Milan will host the twenty-fourth General Conference meeting of ICOM, International Council of Museums from 3rd to the 9th July 2016, which will see the participation of over 4.000 administrators, directors and museum curators, cultural policies officials, councillors for culture , tourism experts, architects, urban-planners, stand setters/decorators, project-managers, restoration experts, archaeologists, historians, archive-experts, museum curators , inventory-co-ordinators, information and documentation management experts, librarians, researchers, university lecturers, artists, suppliers, consultants, from the 34 thousand members of ICOM. Leitmotiv of the meetings was: ‘ The relationship between Museums and cultural landscapes. Also MUSEIMPRESA, which Fondazione G. Fedrigoni ISTOCARTA has been associated with for the past three years, brought its contribution to “Conferenza Permanente della Associazioni Museali” (Permanent, Conference of Museum Association) on Tuesday 5th July 2016, represented by Marco Montemaggi, member of the Board of Directors of the Association. Mr. Montemaggi illustrated some examples of museums and corporate-archives which have distinguished themselves at national level for the important cultural activities they have promoted; amongst these, ‘ Fondazione G. Fedrigoni ISTOCARTA’ was mentioned, with the Archives of Cartiere Miliani Fabriano. Montemaggi also wanted to show some of the most interesting images related some initiatives promoted by our Institute. We are really grateful to Mr. Marco Montemaggi and MUSEIMPRESA as well, for having “introduced” ISTOCARTA to this event of international importance. THANK YOU.
