The 27th British Association of Paper Historians (BAPH) Annual Conference was held at  Harrogate (Yorkshire, UK) from 23rd to 25th September 2016 . On the occasion, ‘Fondazione G. Mould-and-Paper-makers in the History of Western Paper editedby Giancarlo Castagnari, undoubtedly unique in its type for the topic it deals with: the “mould” – indispensible tool in the manufacturing of handmade paper since XIII century – narrated under a technical-scientific aspect; and which has sprung from the desire to spread and enhance the knowledge on the valuable 2.295 watermarked “moulds” (dating from 1846) and inherited by the historical ‘Cartiere Miliani Fabriano’, recently restored and transferred to the historical paper archaeological building complex in Fabriano, head-office of ‘Fondazione G.
