Cultura / Materiale. Di libri, di carta e di scrittura: Silvana Amato Presents Her New Volume at the ADI Design Museum.
Sunday, 8 November at 6:00 p.m., at the ADI Design Museum in Milan, Silvana Amato’s book “Cultura / Materiale. Di libri, di carta e di scrittura” will be presented. Published by Electa and printed on Fedrigoni paper, the volume explores the relationship between books, paper, writing, and graphic design.
A design critic and historian, curator, and lecturer, Silvana Amato has long focused on design culture, graphic design, and publishing. Since 2025, she has been a member of the Scientific Committee of the Fondazione Fedrigoni Fabriano.
The book offers an original perspective on the value of material culture and on the role of paper as a medium for knowledge and communication.
Joining the author in conversation will be Francesco Dondina, Chiara Medioli Fedrigoni, President of the Fondazione Fedrigoni Fabriano, and Mario Piazza.
The event will also provide an opportunity to visit “Id-ictionary”, the exhibition curated by Silvana Amato, featuring 70 posters created by designers from the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI). The exhibition explores the poster as a contemporary visual language, bringing different design cultures into dialogue and offering a significant overview of international research in graphic design.
The exhibition will be open to visitors at the ADI Design Museum until 8 November 2026, during the museum’s opening hours.
