An event to celebrate the 700th anniversary of the Corporation of Papermakers (1326–2026)
The Pia Università dei Cartai, the direct successor—without interruption or renewal—of the glorious medieval guild, celebrates an extraordinary milestone: 700 years of history.
For this important anniversary, on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 5:00 p.m., it is promoting— in collaboration with the Fondazione Fedrigoni Fabriano and the Ente Palio di San Giovanni Battista — a conference and the presentation of the volume: “La Pia Università dei Cartai, una storia che continua. la corporazione dei cartai da 700 anni (1326-2026)”.
The Fondazione Fedrigoni Fabriano, which by its Statute supports cultural initiatives together with the Pia Università dei Cartai, will host the event in the evocative Sala Forme of the historic Miliani Paper Mills complex: a symbolic place of Fabriano’s centuries-old papermaking tradition.
