The MIAMI University visits the G. Fedrigoni Foundation
Tuesday, 21st of January 2014, some students of the Department of Chemical, Paper and Biomedical Engineering of MIAMI University in Oxford (OH), with their teacher D. Steven Keller, were guests, for the whole day, G. Fedrigoni Foundation, European Institute of the Paper History and Paper Sciences.
The group, after a visit to the museums of the city of Fabriano, reached the headquarters of the Foundation, where they could see the most interesting and fascinating historical documents preserved in the Archive of Cartiere Miliani: the collection of 1.300 watermarks, the record book from 1782, the catalogs, the price lists from 1889, production registers from 1914, etc.
The visit ended with a meeting at the establishment of FABRIANO Paper Mills: here the group, composed mainly by Paper Engineering students, followed a "lesson" of the Paper Chemistry with the Responsible for research, development and laboratory of FABRIANO Fedrigoni S.p.A., Dr. Paolo Tamagnini.
